First Week of Sophomore Year!

Ok, so I know it has been months since I have written in this last...but ya love me anyway!
Summer was so much fun, extremely busy, but lots of fun.
First week of school is over! Yay! Only a million more to go... :( I got a job through the school. About 5 hours a week, not much I know, but I figure it is a good first step. Classes are going well, I am doing really well about staying on top of homework. I have study sessions with friends who are in the same classes so we get it done the day it is assigned. I am taking 10 classes, but I am looking into dropping one. Gotta pull back a bit I think.
My goal is to not audition for anything for this first semester so I can try and get another job on the weekends to try and save up for a hopefully little addition to my life! A puppy! Athena finally went into heat after about a year and we are breeding her starting tomorrow! So everyone please keep your fingers crossed! I need this little person, I can't explain it, other than I have the strong need to take care of something and be able to love something. I want a girl puppy, preferably a black puppy, but I won't be picky! I have already picked the name regardless of color, Ebony, (though if she's black it will fit a bit better.)
Last weekend my roommate Laura and I went to St.George and stayed Friday night at Grandma and Grandpa's. We went swimming twice, then Saturday we went to Sand Hollow and tooled around on the boat. That was lots of fun. There is this crazy place to go cliff diving and it is high! Probably 4 or 5 feet higher than the tallest spot we jumped at in Lake Powell. And I did it! Very scary! Laura and I both tubed and water skied, and yes we both got up! Laura also wake boarded and got up. We were goth extremely sore the next day!
The house is amazing....and old. We had some troubles with it the first week, but all is fixed and we all love living there! Our backyard is ginormous and overgrown with the craziest weeds and bushes. We have a fireplace which we plan on using during the winter but it is way too hot to even fathom any source of heat.
Well, I have classes so I will try to update you all later!
Love ya!

Blood and Gore

So we had a blood and gore day in makeup class. It was really hard. Especialy the vampire bites. But the picture on the left is my black eye. I walked around campus to get some experience about how people would react and it is really interesting. People don't care about helping others anymore. Most would stare at me until I made eye contact with them, then they would just look away really fast. The one in the middle is a picture of my vampire bite. The putty was really hard to work with so it doesn't look very real...but I am sure with more practice I could do some pretty killer makeup! The one on the right is the scar from a "bite" my brother had given me when we were really young. Instead of a scar on my arm, I now have a bit of a rash. That scar stuff was fun to work with, but it kinda hurt...
I didn't do a road rash wound, a wound with something sticking in it (like someone stabbing me in the head with a pencil...), or a burn. But all the people who did do burns looked sick. So if anyone is willing to let me practice on them... *cough* Dad, Atty, Tara *cough* we could have some really cool Halloween makeup!
The plays all went really well. I am really glad to have Secrets over. It was really time-consuming and there was a lot of drama in it. The Vagina Monologues were amazing! I am thinking of organizing an 0n-school interview of women in Utah at SUU.
Anyway, I have to go and get back to homework! Love you all!

Oh no! Middle Age!

Oh dear. And this is me with my Middle Age makeup. We had to do research, and I am sorry to say mom and dad that meant pictures of you guys. I don't think I'll look quite like this when I am forty because you guys don't look this bad but oh well. I passed. So I guess that is all that matters. So this is middle age. 40-55 years of age. For some reason doing this really freaked me out! I mean, I am almost half way there! I know that when I do old age makeup, which I think is like 56-Death it won't freak me out so much because I have a ways. Well everyone laugh it up! And just remember that it is only makeup! Love ya guys!

So I had makeup class today and we did Glamour Makeup. I tried doing the smokey eyes and the deep red lips and I think it turned out ok. I am going to try something a little more extreme for the actual grading day. I am thinking maybe darker eyes and to extend the black out a little bit more. What do you guys think? Runway material yet?! Ha!

Makeup Day

So in my makeup class today we did correctice makeup and it was pretty much the coolest thing in the world. I pretty much went from looking like a nasty, zitty teenager, (I have an excuse...it's that time of the month!) to a really pale glamour girl. It was pretty freakin' sweet. I have to do it again tomorrow and on Thursday for the actual grade. Pretty exciting I know. The only sucky thing is I am getting a pretty bad rash on my face, so makeup class might end up being painful. But there is a very short, picture-loaded update of my life in a nutshell. Love ya all!
